Remote-first Australian startup AssuranceLab announced as the Top Startup Employer for 2023
AssuranceLab, a remote-first compliance auditing company, was announced as the Top Startup Employer for 2023 at this year’s My Startup Gig employer awards.
Held in Sydney earlier this year, these awards are an independent verification of startup workplaces in Australia.
With over 40 other finalists in their category, Paul Wenham, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at AssuranceLab said that the award was a testament to each individual who has an impact on the company’s culture and environment.
“I love the way this award reflects a whole company effort. Everyone in our team has a meaningful impact on our culture and environment, and it was this feedback that earned us this award,” he said.
To meet the requirements of the award, each company had to be considered a Verified Top Startup Employer and meet an eNPS score of 30+ (4.2/5 on each question).
The employee survey had a total of 16 questions including ‘how likely the employee was to recommend the employer as a place of work’, ‘the strength of the managers’ and ‘whether the job provides a sense of purpose and meaning’.
These questions were used to establish the eNPS score that verified if companies qualified as finalists.
The results were then tallied to find the winner of the Top Employer Award for 2023 in each category.

The award comes after an impressive year of growth for AssuranceLab with the company hiring several new staff over the past few months.
