Dell Technologies shows support for ANZ startups during SXSW Sydney®, launching Dell for Startups

As part of SXSW Sydney, Dell Technologies will be launching its Dell for Startups program in Australia and New Zealand.

The successful global initiative is tailored to help startups overcome the challenges of building, rolling out and scaling technology. Its Australian arrival coincides with Dell Technologies’ participation at SXSW Sydney where attendees can interact with Dell’s booth in the Innovation and Technology exhibition to learn more about the Dell for Startups program.

Dell’s exhibition space, in collaboration with Intel, will also include an immersive experience including an infinity mirror where the startup community will be invited for a social branded moment. The infinity mirror represents the infinite opportunities for startups to grow and succeed as part of the Dell for Startups program.  The space will also include product demonstrations of Dell’s latest technology, including XPS, Latitude and Precision devices, a ‘spin to win’ digital prize wheel and the opportunity to engage with Dell’s Startup Advisors.

A free membership program, Dell for Startups offers technology-focused advice, assistance with applying for grants, IT payment solution options available, discounts on products and community networking events.

The program offers entrepreneurs and startups access to specialty startup advisors, who can provide insights on a wide range of topics, ranging from, servers to storage, out-the-box technology versus custom-built, end-user-compute and security.

SXSW Sydney 2023 Pitch – big ideas welcome

To celebrate the inaugural SXSW Sydney, Dell Technologies is contributing to the prize for the SXSW Sydney 2023 Pitch. The pitch invites startups to present their big ideas to a panel of industry experts, high-profile media professionals, venture capital and angel investors – all in front of a live audience.

The winner in each category will be provided with a Dell premium business laptop, plus membership to the Dell for Startups mentoring program.

David Siroky, General Manager, AI, Dell Technologies APJ, and SXSW Startup Pitch Competition Judge AI & Robotics Category, said, “SXSW Sydney is huge for the city and recognition of the innovative Sydney startup scene. Dell for Startups’ arrival in Australia is a celebration of this and one of the many ways we support startups in this region, helping them go from strength to strength. We can’t wait to see the local talent on display in the pitch competition.”

Adam Lee, General Manager, Consumer and Small Business – Online, Dell Technologies Australia & New Zealand, said, “Dell Technologies is proud to support local entrepreneurs and startup businesses through various initiatives such as Dell for Startups and the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network. Our Startup Advisors have expertise beyond technology. An excellent example of this is offering tailored advice on how to secure grant funding through the Grants Office Australia, as we recognise that funding and grants are critical for the growth and early-stage health of startups. Through our various programs, we hope to help the ANZ start up community thrive.”
