New Podcast series launches to support small business

Business owners can now tune into free and expert business advice anywhere, at any time with the launch of a new business podcast from the Service NSW Business Bureau.

The Service NSW Business Connect Podcast series is available on Spotify and features leading business experts, including lawyers and accountants, who provide practical, independent advice on topical issues many small businesses face.

Podcast guests will share lessons and valuable insights about their lived experience in business to help small business owners identify and manage financial stress.

From insolvency, to managing business costs and prioritising mental health, the free episodes will cover a range of topics and provide listeners with insights and steps they can take to maintain their business health.

The Business Connect program provides small businesses with free, tailored, one-on-one sessions with independent advisors on topics such as business planning, marketing, and cash flow.

The podcast expands on the online resources and events Business Connect provides to help small business owners gain business knowledge and insights at a time which suits them.

There are more than 840,000 small businesses in NSW which make up 98 per cent of all NSW businesses. NSW small businesses employ 1.7 million people in the private sector, which is around 43 per cent of the State’s private sector workforce.

In the past six years, Business Connect has delivered more than 380,000 hours of support to 55,000 businesses and run more than 4,600 events across NSW.
