Bridgit expands state-based distribution team following business growth

Non-bank lender Bridgit has today announced the expansion of the state-based distribution team. The news is a result of business growth and demand in which Bridgit has started the new financial year seeing a 375%+ increase in broker applications when comparing YoY.

The expansion of the state-based distribution team will enable Bridgit to provide top-tier, hyper-localised support to the 9000 plus accredited brokers it currently supports across various states.

Bridgit has appointed three new state-based Business Development Managers, doubling the teams size to service the growing business demand, including:

  • Jolene Farrow (pictured middle) – has been appointed as Queensland Business Development Manager, based in Brisbane. Jolene has previous experience with WLTH, Loan Market Group and St George Bank.
  • Matthew Pride (pictured left) – has been appointed as Victorian Business Development Manager, based in Melbourne. Matthew spent the past five years working for ALI Group, and before that with Virgin Money Australia and NAB.
  • Lili Barron (pictured right) – has been appointed to the role of New South Wales Business Development manager, based in Sydney. Lili joins from Deposit Power, and previously worked for ME Bank and Better Choice Banks.

The new hires join the fast-growing non-bank distribution team, which also include Nik Thurgood as Senior Business Development Manager appointed earlier in the year, and Michael Balshaw as Regional Director VIC, SA and WA, along with their national broker support team.

Stephen Doyle (pictured top), Head of Distribution at Bridgit comments on business growth and the state-based team, adding, “The role of a broker has arguably never been more important for Aussie homeowners navigating today’s competitive market. With houses being listed on market for as little as 33 days* in some states, it has become increasingly difficult for many homeowners to take their next step.

“As our accredited broker network continues to expand and our volume of enquiries and demand increase, we are delighted to be scaling Bridgit’s distribution capability to match growing demand. By expanding our state-based distribution team, we can provide tailored, on the ground support that reflects the nuances of each area to our accredited broker network. This local expertise and support can be the difference between homeowners securing their next property or losing out.

“Jolene, Matthew and Lili each bring a wealth of expertise and a deep local understanding of their respective markets, and will be instrumental in supporting us achieve our goal of helping as many Aussies as possible make progress and secure their dream property.”

This news marks yet another significant milestone for Bridgit which recently announced it has raised $125 million.
