Banjo Loans to help SMEs navigate cashflow management
With 87 per cent of Australian SMEs reporting cashflow management issues in the past year, non-bank lender Banjo Loans has scheduled a free webinar to help finance brokers and small business owners navigate the intricacies of these financial challenges.
Starting at 11am on Thursday 22 August 2024, Banjo’s Navigating Cashflow Management webinar will unlock insights to financial health, guiding SMEs through practical approaches shared by a trio of Banjo Loans experts – Head of Sales Nick Rogers, Senior Credit Officer Jane Martini and Credit Officer Danny Jin.
Nick Rogers (pictured) said the session would not only help brokers both understand the cashflow support SMEs need but provide advice that brokers could implement in their own businesses.
“Navigating cashflow can be challenging for SMEs, but with the right strategies and support from a knowledgeable broker, it can be effectively managed,” Rogers said.
“Most SMEs are cashflow-reliant, and they need to be able to manage their revenue well to avoid unexpected bumps in the road. Many of those same businesses may not know where to start when it comes to managing cashflow, so it is important brokers are in a position where they understand their client’s business and able to help them.”
“Brokers may also find the webinar helpful themselves – because a lot of the practical advice we will be going through can be applied to their own businesses.”
Webinar attendees can also look forward to:
- Understanding how to identify triggers for funding and anticipate financial ebbs and flows for future growth.
- Discovering techniques to monitor and control expenses to keep spending in check and improve the bottom line of SMEs.
- Exploring various financing solutions that can provide a lifeline during cashflow crunches.
- Learning how a well-managed cashflow forecast can help to review and predict a business’ financial future and make informed decisions.
“We want brokers to be able to walk away from the webinar with some key questions that they can ask their SME clients in an interview. We want them to know what they need to ask SMEs every time that will drive businesses to come to them for their cashflow needs,” Rogers said.
“Jane and Danny are both incredibly experienced in this space and can help brokers have the conversation around cashflow with their clients.”
Rogers said the number of SMEs that have poor cashflow management shows there is a need for greater understanding.
“We only have to look at the doubling in the amount of tax owed by SMEs in the past five years, which is circa a 100 per cent increase, and a lot of this can be attributed to poor cashflow management relating to BAS and super payments. It should be an area of primary focus for all SME’s.”
“It means a lot of SMEs are either taking bad advice on their cashflow management or they don’t understand it.”
