Aristotle Metadata have announced the appointment of Shad Sears as their new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Sears brings a wealth of experience in cybersecurity, commercial leadership and strategic development to their team.

Prior to joining Aristotle Metadata, Sears served as a Partner at PwC Australia, and more recently, as a Managing Director at Scyne Advisory, where he has earned a reputation as a leader in cybersecurity, privacy and data governance. “I’m incredibly proud to welcome Shad to our leadership team,” said CEO of Aristotle Metadata, Samuel Spencer. “His deep insights into cybersecurity and commitment to delivering exceptional commercial outcomes make him the perfect fit for this dual role. Handing over the CISO responsibilities to a seasoned cybersecurity expert like Shad is a privilege, and I know it will hugely benefit both our clients and internal operations.”

Shad’s immediate focus will include:

  • Bringing over 25 years of professional services background to further mature and refine the strategic approach of Aristotle Metadata in a local and global context.
  • Streamlining and standardising client engagement and support processes to enhance the client experience.
  • Expanding and formalising our partnerships with service delivery partners to ensure consistent and high-quality deployments.
  • Driving compliance initiatives, such as pursuing ISO 27001 accreditation, building on the completed IRAP assessment and refining project management oversight.

“Joining Aristotle Metadata is an exciting opportunity,” said Shad Sears. “I’m looking forward to combining my passion for cybersecurity with commercial strategy to help drive growth and innovation.”

“My immediate priorities are building upon the impressive work already undertaken by Aristotle Metadata in establishing itself as the preeminent provider of metadata services in the ACT, as well as its success with clients nationally and internationally. My goal is to support our clients in identifying and leveraging metadata as the foundation for the effective and efficient use of their data assets into the future.”
